I had one fellow Tyranid player at my gaming club talking about the Tyranid Codex is going to be redone in 7th edition. Also talked about redoing SCs to be sargent like the Broodlord. It's probably hot air, but can anyone back that up?

Don't worry about it, I think every gaming group has one guy who pulls rumours out of his bum.

Well I would say he's partly correct, however that's like me saying that Warhammer Fantasy will get a new edition in the next 10 years.

We are currently in 5th edition, 6th edition is rumoured as being out next summer and then 7th edition will be out about 3-4 years after that.

So yeah, I'd say Nids will get a new book before then end of 7th in 7-10 years.

I have heard that in 38 years, Tyranids will get a new monstrous unit. We will see

I'm sure that Tyranids will have their turn in due course.

I don't think there's any realistic chance of a new codex for them anytime soon.

Hell, I reckon the players would settle for something ker-azy like a complete model range.

Still, that's wargamers for you eh ? Want, want want.

Ingrates the lot of 'em.
