Thats fantastic, I'm sure you commissioner will be chuffed with this! 
Just a small thing, the griffons belly is gonna hurt after its scraped against that pillar  I'd recommend pinning it a distance away from such objects in future

ahhaha don't worry the image is not clear but the angle of the wall doesn't touch the model, the griffon will be safe!

Purely intuitively, I would say to convey the feel of the rougher fabric of the flag. Variety of textures is always good.
