Lately I've been going through something of a mad Necron phase, and whilst I love the new models the old warriors still seem somewhat stiff to me (even for soulless robots).

Whilst I get that they are a legion marching forward with little regard for their own safety I would assume even something acting without free will would logically understand the use of cover, as such I've been playing around with repositioning the warrior kit.

Below is my first attempt. C&C is welcome, I havent managed to grab any green stuff so its a combination of bluetac and prayer reshaping the cut lines.

Please note he isnt painted, he's just somewhere in my prep stages.

Looking pretty good! I was thinking along similar lines it would be cool to see some necron warriors that had been damaged...missing arms etc, and perhaps in the process of self-repairing.

Looking great! You could also say they are getting up after being knocked down. I have posed some of mine as well way back in the day. After assembling 60 + I grew bored and modeled some running and in other various poses. I also made some WBB counters of various states of destroyed warriors, which upon further reflection could be used for RP counters I suppose, although they would need some tweaking.

Cheers

Thanks for the comments guys, after my next pay day I'll be grabbing a sprue off of the new ghost ark kit to mix into my warrior bits for a little wear and tear on the warriors. I plan to use my 20 (to be converted) warriors as tests for greenstufff before moving onto modelling some nicer cryptek conversions.
