A standard captain on a bike is actually a better buy than kor'sarro khan, as it is much cheaper. captain on bike with relic blade and combi-melta is only 175pts, saving 30 points on khan.

1st two bikes squads are solid, that combination is pretty good, just beware of large tarpit units.

the third bike squad is less good, I would make it the same as the first 2, but without the attack bike. (so 2x plasma and a power fist. which should be 195pts).

CC scouts tend not to be great unless they have land speeder storms to ferry them around. I would prefer sniper scouts to hold objectives instead.
If you still want 2x5 CC scouts, then I would consider dropping the multimelta on 1 of the land speeders. This combined with the leftover points saved on the captain, should give you enough points for 2 units of 5, both with a power fist.

Other than that the speeders and predators are fine, although I don't think the speeders need the multi-meltas, as they are very fragile, so want to stay out of the way.


On the whole it's a nice solid army, but be careful getting involved in CC too early, as some armies will find it very easy to tarpit you.

Khan doesn't add much here. You only take him where outflank and hit&run become useful for you - this is generally only when I run a command squad on bikes with a chappie. Hit&run then makes that unit lethal. Otherwise, apart from the scouts, nothing here will really benefit from outflanking.

I was hoping by squeezing 2x scouts it would help against 1 of this lists biggest weaknesses......15 long fang ml, with infiltrate, move through cover and scout I should be able to get t1 charges pretty consistently against them or IG parking lots. I though that would help alot and cause some disruption in their backfield. I sometimes reserve everything and the outflank helps to get positioning for all the units. I've been playing different variations of this list since just before ard boys and I really like it. I have tried the captain and khan most of the time I prefer khan but the captain is definately cheaper. I like to give the captain relic blade, combi-melta and artificer armour and I prefer to field the captain with a command squad but at 1850 or under I just don't have the points to put 675 points total into HQ(libby/captain/command squad) at 2000+ they are auto-include but the need of scoring units under that limit is more important.

I'm planning to playtest this weekend and I think I'll try the more bland captain and 2x scouts. As far as the Speeders go, I have had really good luck with that loadout, most people have a hard time choosing which weapon to pick unless its a horde.

You'll want the command squad for Khan otherwise losing combat tactics is not worth it.

Otherwise the list looks good.
