Does anyone know how long the first adventure in Into the Expanse takes to play through? Its called Eye of the Needle and its a rogue trader adventure.

Without more information, you can't expect more than a rough guess.
RPG time schedules are very variable based on the number of players, how much roleplaying they do, how much idle chat there is, what encounters (combat or otherwise) they do or don't get into, how many times they think of something completely different that's just too cool to say "That's not really in the plot" and how much the GM encourages or discourages all of the above.

How many players are we talking, and what kind of players are they?

Okay, sorry.

I have three players. Are you aware of the D&D archetype system? Because this is the best way to explain it.

1. A slayer with actor tendencies, he like descriptive combat and getting into his fighter characters, in DH he plays a russian alchoholic gaurdsmen with a grenade launcher.

2. A storyteller, this guy likes history, strategy, and tries to act but has a hard time geting over inhibitions to do so. He likes history inspired characters, in particular characters from the late 18th century (Imperialists). He is playing our rogue trader.

3. An actor and instigator.. He likes cinmatic combat, but loves getting into character, and this often causes hilarity or excitement to ensue. He is the best bet when it comes to getting someone to do something hot-headed.

Hmm - well, with that in mind...

Now, I've not actually played that adventure myself (Both I and our group's other GM are very much of the "Indiana Jones" GMing method - i.e. "I don't know, I'm making this up as I go"), but skimming back through... probably between 3 to 6 full evenings (assuming said sessions are around four hours). But please don't hold me to that - like I said, it's highly variable, depending on how directly your players approach the plot, how many of the optional sections you throw at them, your experience with the rules and how you choose to GM (if you're all around a table and can use models and maps, you'll probably waste a lot less time re-describing the fight scenes as they progress as we have to over VoIP).

Very roughly, the book as a whole will probably last 10-20 sessions. Maybe someone who's actually gone through it can tell me if I'm wildly off, but I'd expect some variation anyway.

Thanks, I realized that I could probably develope a years worth of gaming off that book, especially if I started throwing my own diversions in their. I don't see how people say that they can just run through published adventures, when each encounter can end take people anywhere.
