So, either I am dumb and missing something or a lot of people I hear talking bout melee combats are lol my question is this:

If I have a strength value that's really high (i.e. carnifex) and its attacking a multiple wound character that has a toughness of 4 or something, if I woulnd it will I ID it? (ID does stand for instant death right?)

The only reason that I'm unsure on this subject is.because it says no where in the rulebook that melee can ID anything(it does however state it in some codecies, I.e. swarmlord with bone sabres) but ranged weapons of course can. I feel it only makes sense that melee should follow suit but I can't find it anywhere.

Can anyone help shed some light please?

Melee and Ranged attacks follow the same rules to wound. They can both ID, using the same rules.

The swarmlord with bone sabres IDs even if his STR is not double the targets Toughness.

I know the swarm Lord will ID anything lol but thanks. I mean its assumed kind of in the rule book but doesn't really state it clearly

It does. Page 39 says to refer back to the Shooting rules.

Haha see I am.just.dumb lol.I've.read.those.rules like.a million times and apparently.missed.the words in parenthesis. However is does say special rules for weapons not necessarily high strength but its good enough for me
