So I was reading the Inat Faq and noticed they require you to resolve manticores as multiple barrage weapons.

Is this how everyone plays? It seems odd since the first line of multiple barrage tells you to use those rules only if a unit is firing multiple barrage weapons. Which the ruling right before it states that the Manticore has only 1 weapon.

I play it as a multiple blast barrage

There are no specific rules for firing a multiple blast, ordnance barrage weapon. For this reason, I think most people are happy to consider the Manticore as firing as if it were a unit of multiple barrage weapons.

Of course, if it's firing directly, then you resolve each scatter separately since it's no longer a barrage weapon.

Seems like the easiest way, for me, to resolve the lack of hard rules on the issue.

Technically you have NO rules, whatsoever, for resolving any weapon that fires multiple blasts - barrage or otherwise.

The only hint as to what rules we should use are the Tempest Launcher, which is a barrage weapon in the Eldar book. The Eldar FAQ tells you to use the Multiple Barrage rules.

As such, the only sensible option is to use the Multiple Barrage rules, as this ignores / changes the least rules while retaining the essential character of the weapon
