Does anyone know where the Ork Turbo Boosta upgrade is in the book? I keep on seeing it referenced all over. Before I thought it just meant going flat out but now I have read it being described as an upgrade in the IA8 book.

Not clear what you're talking about

In the codex there is no turboboosta upgrade, just the usual ability of bikes to Turbo boost.

p130 of IA8 gives Turbo Killas, an upgrade for cybork slashas, and 131 gives the turbo charga, for Junkas.

They mention in one of the pictures of the trukks that orks often have turbo boosted engines, but Red Paint Job is the only speed upgrade in there. It could be that they planned to put one in and then removed it.

I'll quote page when i get home.

Bikes and Jetbikes (such as Deffkoptas) can turboboost, and Wazdakka can fire his guns while doing so.

Pg 71 current codex mentions trukks as often being equipped with turboboosters (engine workings) as if they were wargear, but there is no option for them

Something that annoys me about the VERY EXPENSIVE imperial armour books, is that they often copypasta rules without checking that they are still current. Very sloppy. There's quite a few cases in the IA apocalypse books where they are still using 4th Ed. rules. For the price you pay for the book that sort of thing gives me nerd rage

IA Apocalypse is a 4th edition book, which is why they released 2nd edition...

Not to mention them forgetting "little" things like marking weapons as "primary" or that supa-skorchas can actually be place 12" from the gun.

7 Ork facts people always get wrong:
Ragnar did not win against Thrakka, but suffered two crushing defeats within a few days of each other.
A lasgun is powerful enough to sever an ork's appendage or head in a single, well aimed shot.
Orks meks have a better understanding of electrics and mechanics than most Tech Priests.
Orks actually do not think that purple makes them harder to see. The joke was made canon by Alex Stewart's Caphias Cain books.
Gharkull Blackfang did not even come close to killing the emperor.
Orks can be corrupted by chaos, but few of them have any interest in what chaos offers.
Orks do not have the power of believe.

Is it possible they're referring to it fluff-wise? that would represent the trukk being classified as "fast" I dont have my codex on hand to verify though

Exactly! is just a fluff explanation of why the Ork Trukks are considered Fast Vehicles
