My FLGS (Treefort Games in Fayetteville, Georgia) put on a special Apoc Game over Thanksgiving Weekend. The owner (at his own cost) put together 8 gargants with the help of some of the veteran players/modellers. Each of the gargants was around 4' tall NOT including the parapets/crows nests and was bristling with weapons. The story behind the game was that his ork warboss was ready to start a WAAGH that would put Ghazghull's to shame unless stopped. With Imperial forces allied on one side with the Eldar and Tau, the orks rallied other disparate forces amongst them in a true ork fashion (including necrons, chaos, and tyranids). While some of the alliances may be Matt Ward bro-fisting worthy, they were needed to balance out the forces. Most of the pics taken were actually in the first phase of the deployment where only the titans and some superheavies were deployed. Ultimately, around 270,000pts worth of troops were on the table. Some notables were about a dozen Warhounds, 3 Reaver Titans (2 Armorcast, 1 Forgeworld), 8 Gargants, a dozen stompas, at least 30 baneblade chassis tanks, and a contingent from the Imperial Air Force. Since the game turns were hard timed (as in only 10 minutes per phase per turn.. move/shooting/assault), I didn't get a chance to take many pics during the actual game.

Here are a few setup pics...

My corner of the board where we faced a WIP Emperor class (or technically Warmaster class) chaos titan, opposed by around a dozen superheavy tanks and 2 dozen more regular tanks as well as 10,000 points of White Scar successors (both of which were 100% painted) in addition to the peon token forces I brought!

Imperial Air Force reserves that came on turn 2 and took off the last structure point off the Emperor titan near me.

Some early setup on the next corner of the spaghetti bowl that was the string of tables making up the continuous battle.

A good mix of scratch builds as well as official model kits available over the years.

Early setup on the last few corners.

Our fearless crusade commander, Lord Commissar John! The store owner had two separate costumes he would wear to indicate at a glance whose turn it was (this is obviously the Imperial one).

I'll be scouring the interwebs for a few more pics during the game or at least after setup since I didn't get a chance to take my own once the bell rung for the start (10 minute turns are killer when you're depending on opponents to work out assaults/shooting when they're busy doing the same with other players). In the end, the imperium won a hard fought pyrrhic victory with all the gargants and larger titans on both sides toppling (with several apocalyptic explosions including one measuring 23" that took out 300 ork models!) and taking control of half the key fortifications.

edit: Success! Some pics of the battle early in the game shamelessly lifted off the store's facebook page! More pics at the link below.

The area adjacent to my corner with the large White Scar mounted force and Baneblade Armored Division (accompanied by the air force previously pictured that was in reserve).

Next corner over where the eldar deigned to add their support.

Next long table edge... with us players arranged behind it for a group shot!

Second last long table edge view (another 6 feet curled around the corner) with a view of our imposing leader watching over his troops.

He must like the job as it was a lot of work! I saw him assembling the ork titans and painting them for about a month prior to the event. The costumes were an unexpected nice touch, though. The cleanup to return the store to normal gaming probably took another half day!
