Hey everyone,

I've wanted to get involved in the 40K series since I flipped through a copy of White Dwarf way back when I was a boy; having been intrigued yet intimidated by it's depth, complexity and costly requirements I chose other interests... But I never forgot the "Space Marines".

It's only been until now - with something resembling a disposable income - that I've felt able to fully invest in this hobby. I've taken a particular liking to the Salamanders chapter (of all the sociopathic genetically enhanced fanatical killing machines under the Imperial banner, I find them the most noble and humane - which is saying a lot) and intend to make them my army of choice as I slowly become acquainted with the rules and lore.

Beyond that, I'm looking to learn and converse with fellow hobbyists. Who knows; maybe one day I might participate in a game or two... I look forward to soaking up the knowledge of this community.

Hello Hazzer. Thank you for the greeting. "Crockadiles"? Is that slang for the Salamanders, akin to the Ultrasmurfs/Ultramarines? I guess it could be worse...

A blog? Personally, I think that's far too early - I've just received my first Battleforce from an artist I commissioned and that was more of a test case, truth be told (which he aced and am now in full cooperation with him). I probably won't have a basic functioning, fully painted and table-ready army till early next year... Besides, I've never been comfortable with the idea of writing a blog; can't get my head around other people giving a damn about my opinions enough to follow them regularly.

That said, I have no qualms about reading the experienced and passionate opinions of others and will make a point of checking out yours, Hazzer, cheers.
