This is a simple question. In the Blood Angels Codex for example, it has a page that shows the chapter organization. When it says 6 combat squads in Second Company, is each combat squad a squad of 5 or 10? Would that mean 60 total marines or 30? I dont read any books on 40k, but i want to make my army insignia correct.

Well it would mean 30.
Though BA tend to have more Assault Marines to make up the numbers.

Thanks that's what i needed to know. And it lists like 4 assault marine squads in addition to the 6 tactical marine squads.

That should do it...
With 2 Devestator squads and a command squad...
Yeah that seems to be about right.

A marine "squad" is ten men by default - you can break it down into two five-man "combat squads" for the battle. A Chapter is a thousand marines, more or less, divided into ten Companies one hundred strong.

Besides, the text above that BA chapter chart actually tells you that the nominal strenght of each "squad" is ten men, although battle losses might mean it's less.

The blood angel line companies have 1 command squad, 6 Tactical squads, 2 assault, and 2 devestator squads at a nominal strength of 10 men(5 for Command squads)

The BA's have a preference for Assault Squads and they will re-equip their tac squads in that way if needed, and maintain their assault squads at full strength in preference to the other types.
