Hey all, thought i'd share some pics of my latest army build, the lootiest of the ladz- Deathskulls!!

At the moment the core of the force is built from AoBR boyz, Nobz and Warboss, with metal Warboss, two Big Meks (KFF + SAG), a Painboy and Grot Orderly for the Nobz squads.

The Nobz have had a Gnarloc green and Hawk Turquoise paintup, with a badab black wash, then a green/blue touchup on raised areas which works really well! I've also converted up a Waaagh! banner bearer, drilling the big choppa handle out and inserting a brass rod with a Battlewagon Ork Head on top with some "horns" off a WHF Chaos Marauder banner, and with some rusty old barbed wire wrapped around and through so it looks like its holding it to the pole...

The 62 ladz here have all had their Gnarloc green skin colour painted up, and a hawk turquoise blue added- the application on them is random except that each boy has one of his hands painted blue. They'll have a devlan mud wash on the skin and a touchup with Gnarloc on the raised areas followed by a camo green highlight, but for now the base colours will do- i ran out of time!

I've got two Battlewagons up and running at the moment, a unit of Killa Kanz and a massive collection of Deffkoptas, around 16 or so at last count. At least 3 of the Koptas are about to be chopped and modified into Skorcha Wartrakks, they'll have a very strong "welded from scrap" type look. Im hoping they look similar in construction method to my Looted Wagon.

Looted Wagon- I used a rhino Chassis with the top hatch doors glued upright and open, a razorback turret assembly glued on top and with fill-in vents, plasticard strips and I glued a fair few pieces of "steel bar" bits on around it to look like reinforcing struts. The Boomgun turret is off a Leman Russ, with blast shields glued on the barrel, a set of Killa Kan "pogo" legs on the sides as recoil suppressors and lots of sharp spikes around the turret to ward off joyriders! Also has the rear gun pouch and bosspole banner from a spare AoBR Warboss on the rear of the turret.
Before painting, and with the abandoned dozer blade idea

After painting (still more to be done)

The Shokk Attack Mek is a 1991 Rogue Trader model that i got from the UK for an online painting competition for Vintage Minis, I painted him up in 8 straight hours and he took out first place He's a bit random on the tabletop, but adds a lot of Orky flavour!

Kanz and one of the Bwagons... other Bwagon one is fairly much identical. To paint them up i used Hawk Turquoise over Chaos Black spray undercoat, applied white strikes/checks, light drybrush of boltgun metal all over, devlan wash, paint in the middle of blue panels to brighten and leave edges scratched and wash dirty, then very watered down wash of blazing orange around panel joints, gaps and edges- when it dries its a very realistic rust effect, and its way easy

Love how these turned out!

On the Horizon is another 40 Boyz (hopefully GW box set ones),3 Kanz, 10 Lootas, the aforementioned Skorcha Wartrakks and a box of non AoBR Nobz to give me some variety in the two 10+ units I run. The 40 Boyz will be there to help me hit the magic 100 for the Greentide Apocalypse Formation which i used last week in a 40,000pt Apoc battle, with some borrowed Goffs from a mate.. supremely hard to kill with a KFF mek in the middle Oh, and i have a Stompa thats been "blued-up", i'll get some pics of it soon...

Hope you all like, and C+C most welcome!
