Here's the 35 Point Fiona the Black, Thamarite-heavy list I plan to build in the new year. What do you think?

Fiona the Black *6pts
Nomad 6pts
Vanguard x2 5pts

Croe's Cutthroats 7pts
Sea Dog Deck Gun 2pts
Steelhead Halberdiers 4pts
Steelhead Heavy Cavalry 6pts

Alexia, Mistress of the Witchfire 4pts
The Ragman, Creepy SOB 2pts

The battle plan? Fiona hangs back and is both magical and wicked, with the deck gun as her cultists. The Nomad attacks heavies while the Vanguards hang out with and protect my important solos, or Fiona herself, depending on the situation. Either group of Steelheads gets Nonokorion Brand, Croe benefits from Roth's Mercy, and Telgesh Mark goes on Alexia, the Ragman, or one of the 'jacks (situationally). Alexia uses the Steelhead Cav as backup to provide some slaughter and get her some soul tokens and, thus, Thralls. The Ragman hides behind the Halberdiers, using Death Field to benefit them or taking pot shots at targets of opportunity with Bone Shaker. Croe and his Cutthroats creep about and kill things.

Questions? Comments? Concerns? Giant lizards?

Croe's Cutthroats aren't as good as Nyss Hunters unless you're playing with a Telekinesis caster, against Hordes, or both. Their RAT is too low to rely on against anything but Heavies without aiming, their MAT is not much better. Fiona does not have defense debuffs or movement shenanigans so Croe's crew will either be stationary to aim or on the front lines getting killed. Poison and Backstab are very nice qualities, but you will very rarely actually get Backstab bonuses and you will probably kill anything but the highest armor infantry on a charge anyway. Still nice against Hordes warbeasts, though.

They do not need Roth's Mercy since Croe is just a leader and not an officer. If someone tries to kill Croe himself, he reveals himself to actually be one of the other guys in the unit and stays alive to be the last man standing. Again, Roth's Mercy would be fantastic on the Nyss Hunters to keep their officer alive and CRA on the unit.

Edit edit: I corrected myself on who will work with whom. I forgot Fiona is a Syndicate/Highborn/Charter caster and not just a Charter caster. So... yeah, Nyss are still better.
