I just finished writing a new Draigowing list, here it is

HQ Draigo Pre Equipped 275

Troop Paladins 2 Hammers,2 Psycannons, Apothecary, 6 Halberds, 6 Master Crafted Weapons, Psybolt 715
Troop Paladins 2 Hammers,2 Psycannons, Apothecary, 6 Halberds, 6 Master Crafted Weapons, Psybolt 715

Heavy Support Dreadnight Teleporter, Incinerator, Sword, Psycannon 285
this is 1990 Points

/this is the list
the paladin loadout is here

MC Hammer, Bolter
Hammer, Bolter
MC Halberd, Psycannon
Halberd, Psycannon
Apothecary, Halberd
Sword, Bolter
MC Sword, Bolter
Halberd, Bolter
MC Halberd, Bolter
MC Halberd, MC Bolter
the reason for this is the wound allocation shenanigans.

i know i dont have 4 psycannons per squad, but i also cant afford to buy that many boxes of paladins, so until i get more pallies, i will run 2.
the Dreadknight i want for the ability of a first turn assault, and possibility of good harassment/ anti infantry/Tank.
aside from that, nothing really, draigos grand strategy will either be the outflank on the pallies without him, or reroll 1s, or dreadknight scoring.
how does it look??

As a side note, i want to keep the dreadknight, possibly my favorite model and i would like to keep it regardless of its playability, im not too competetive, but enough that i want to win sometimes, so how does it look?

One fun thing you can do with the dk with incinerator is wait till late turns to use it and shunt to one of their objectives then burn em off lol

The enemy of my enemy is a bastard so lets kill him too.

No worries and regardless of anything anyone says you have to play a list you are happy playing so tweak away. lol If your worried bout money or scoring you could make 2 solo pallys to walk onto the board or ds. I understand money issues.

I think the list would be more effective with a Librarian included. It would be pretty easy to find the points for one: drop both apothecaries, they are very overcosted. Then spare up some more points by dropping psybolt ammo and some of the master crafted weapons. That should give you enough points for a Librarian which is far better value than the upgrades you are using.

If you could spare the points, a banner in either of the Paladin squads would be worth it.

The only thing really lacking in the list is anti-tank. I think the additional psycannons are a must, although I'm in the same boat as you when it comes to modelling them. I'm trying to find a way to get/make extra psycannons without buying more boxes.

Harry, I'm going to let you in on a little secret. Every day, once a day, give yourself a present. Don't plan it. Don't wait for it. Just let it happen. It could be a new shirt at the men's store, a catnap in your office chair, or two cups of good, hot black coffee.

Paladins are awesome. Hard to beat in hand to hand. Good at shooting. Hard as feth to kill with small arms fire.

Dreadknights are Paladins on crack.

The bad news: Any mech army will run circles around you, and you will not be able to catch them.

Well. You may be able to catch rhinos and the like, but Dark Eldar will literally lap you. Eldar as well. Guard has the firepower to spam your numbers to oblivion.

Not the most competitive for sure. If you LOVE rolling saves, then you'll have a good time.

Bearing in mind that you want to have fun with this list, I'd say you probably won't have much fun vs Eldar/Dark Eldar. Other Marine armies/Necrons, you have a good chance at having a good ole time against.

You can't use the scout move to teleport the Dreadknight so there is no way of assaulting in the first turn with it just so you know.

Thank you for all the feedback, i will start working on an alternate list to work in a librarian!
