Hey guys and gals, I'm at it again. I can't decide an army again. This time it's tau or eldar. So if you would be so kind to list the pros and cons of each of the armies. thanks in advance. This is the last time I'm asking a question like this. I promise

From my experience:
Tau: Pros: Very shooty.
Cons: Die easily.

Eldar: Pros: Look good.
Cons: Die easily.

Arguing with some people is like playing chess with a pigeon. You can play the best chess in the world, but at the end of the day the pigeon will still knock all the pieces off the board and then gak all over it.

Tau
Pros- Shooty
Con- Lacks cc, and a looming new book(yes could be a pro but no idea whats in it)
Eldar
Pros - good psyker defense, few good lists, Eldrad, fast vehicles
Con - many are glass canons, some very awful troops(those silly peacock looking tings), and a looming new book(yes could be a pro but no idea whats in it0

The enemy of my enemy is a bastard so lets kill him too.

Eldar are newer than Tau, and by that nature Tau are more likely to be updated sooner. Granted, Eldar have some good tricks and good units. Tau have three good units; the Hammerhead, broadside suits, and crisis suits. Everything else in the codex is overcosted, inefficient, or just plain bad. Eldar have a lot of good units, like Fire Dragons, Farseers, Fire Prisms, Warwalkers, bikers, and so on. The only problem Eldar have is the amount of Finecast/metal still in the range.

Honestly, I'd take Eldar over Tau, although Eldar are more of a finesse army.
