Like is says on the top, anyone make a predator drone (the real world one) in 28mm?

Actually a smaller scale like 1/72 might be better for the table top, preds are still pretty big.

The idea of drone legions raining hellfire missiles on unsuspecting targets has to be the most exciting thing to come to war since the smart bomb videos of the Gulf War.

Gathering the Informations.

There's a few in 1/35 or 1/48, I haven't seen 1/32 or 1/72 though.

Be forewarned though. You'll be looking for awhile, as many of the ones I've been looking at are constantly out of stock at Squadron.

UK based site obviously but you can use the info to find the same kit in the USA/Japan/HK, etc.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.

Thanks KK!

Amazon has that kit for $30, and another 1/87 for $10

Just FYI, your source image is not a Predator drone. It is a MQ-9 Reaper from the NY Air National Guard.

You're splitting hairs there. Here's the first sentence of text from your own link:

The General Atomics MQ-9 Reaper (originally the Predator B) is an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), capable of remote controlled or autonomous flight operations, developed by General Atomics Aeronautical Systems (GA-ASI) for use by the United States Air Force, the United States Navy, the CIA, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, the Royal Air Force, and the Italian Air Force.

From the Predator article, Note: although some sources refer to the General Atomics MQ-9 Reaper as the "Predator B", it is a separate, much larger aircraft and is not a variant of the RQ/MQ-1 Predator airframe design. Although they are superficially similar, they are not the same aircraft any more then a monkey is a gorilla.

Since one is 50% larger then the other and he asked for a specific scale, it seemed pertinent, and not hairsplitting.

Italeri do a 1/72 Predator and it costs about £10-12 I think. It's a good kit but very slim and delicate as you would imagine. It's about 6" long and 7-8" wingspan. It's a good kit, and surprisingly large - you get very little sense of scale with the photos of the thing in flight.

I don't know if they have released more versions of the kit, but mine is just the drone with no armament. There are marks under the wings where they might fit the parts onto which to attach the hellfires, but these are not with the kit (I intend to put some on)

Platz made one a while back. Here's a review on the kit:

As it happens that's identical to the Italeri kit (for distribution in the US?).

I'm thinking of them to rep land speeders in an American-themed marine force so size is more important than scale. I saw one at an airshow, they're pretty big, almost the size of cessna I would say (though lower and slimmer).

Thanks, I just did a quick google search so everyone would know I don't mean this

or this

Though now as I think of it a diorama involving all 3 would be really cool...

They sell Italeri here so I doubt that's the reason. Weird.

Some companies share moulds, like Dragon and Revell.

I'm not familiar with Platz, but the decal sheet in their kit looks more comprehensive.

They are very cool looking. You know, when I saw Terminator when I was a kid, I guess I always knew the flying H\K's would happen eventually, but I didn't think it would be so soon.

Of course, these still have remote pilots. For now.
