I've been working with the Praetorian kit lately around my overlord and cryptek conversions and fell in love with the kit over most (nearly all) of the new Necron kits. I intend to field my overlord with Phaeron amidst a squad of Immortals, and had been dwelling on ways to customise the Immortals to resemble a royal guard.

I think you have done a great conversion. They truly look special and elegant, worthy of the presence of a Phaeron.
About your question, I am not a big fan of WYSIWYG. I think that you could count them as ordinary Blasters, as long as your opponent knows about it. After all, it is all about having fun converting and painting the models.

There is only the Emperor, and he is our shield and protector.

Edited out the question after having read the note saying that no questions are allowed in the showcase (oops)
Thanks for the comment, I am hoping people are OK with a gun that counts as less potent than what it resembles, as opposed to power gaming the other way.

Pretty cool, quite an expensive conversion if you wanted an entire squad!
Unless you have an ample supply of bitz.
Cool idea anyway sir, nice colour scheme too. Keep 'em coming!

I sadly came to the same conclusion shortly after assembling him
Currently I have this guy with his cannon coming from spares from my Destroyer Lord, and another with his borrowed off the Annihilation barges spare.
Can grab another 3 for about £10 though to round out a small squad, Body wise I have a fairly hefty supply of praetorians (well another 5 spares after these 2), and an odd collection of bits from other races to add as trophies.
Also looking to get one of these guys carrying a big old banner (what overlords ego couldn't do with some fanning from a giant flag)

That's a hideous mould line on the back of the gun and it really detracts from an otherwise nice mini

Did you know? The Reach belongs to the Forsworn. |
