So if i have my CCS in a Chimera and i am shooting my Master of Ordnance from it do i have a height and sight level of 2? as in over most over things? or if im wrong how does this work? what can i see over? this question also followes for every other type of weapon.

Example 2
a tank is on the other side of a wall that infantry cant see over but tanks can, the tank is within melta range, can my melta vets shoot over the wall when firing from a chimera?

Chimeras > rhinos (course then again piling a regular squad out of a chimera usually creates a scene similar to Omaha beach during D-Day)

What is "a height and sight level of 2"? never heard of anything like that in the 40k rules.

40k Uses what they call True Line of Sight. basically if your model can see it with its "Eyes" the model may fire at it. if they are in a transport, you work out what they can see from the vehicles Firing Points.

Again, TLoS comes into play, if you can see the enemy from the firing point, your guys inside the transport may shoot at them.

If you can not see the enemy from the firing point of the transport, your guys inside the transport can not shoot at the enemy.

oh ok i was looking at a thing from 4th ed (i think) so how do we identify firing points? the chimera is list as having 5, from the top hatch... so is that from the turret? or from the square panels in between the 6 gun holes?

4th ed used Size categories to determine LOS where area terrain or close combats were involved. They didn't apply the rest of the time, and they were removed when 5th edition rolled in.

The top hatch is the large hatch above the passenger compartment.

So long as the hatch is higher than the wall, the models on the other side are visible, and the tank's turret isn't in the way, sure.
