So if you've read any of my other posts, you'll know that I'm just getting back into the game after a decade long hiatus. I'm really nostalgic about some of the things that happened back in 40k yesteryear, like the third war for Armageddon. But I've got a secret that I've been carrying around for some time now, that I would like to share with you all: I want the squats back - and I think 6th ed is the perfect place to do this. I say rewrite the fluff, or retcon it or something. Forget about the old silly squat models and all the mistakes of the past. Let's just say that the squats existed, were nearly annihilated by the nids, but a very small remnant still exists. Maybe 6th ed can be the story of their rise back to prominence! C'mon GW, if you can turn the necrons into tomb-kings in space, you can bring back the squats. Do it!!!!

Squats =/= Demiurg and they are not coming back, GW design studio staff said as much at one of the recent Games Days (I want to say GD Aussieland)

It should be noted that the Demiurg are going to be in the Tau codex, but according to rumours they appear to have evolved from being space Dwarves into being dwarf sized rock monsters.

That's still a rumor. A supported rumor, but until we see figures and codex pages it's just that.
