looking to pick up a PS3, seems the best deal around is the Uncharted 3 bundle. I have been looking around on google but not found anything else. anyone know of any other bundles available I should look at?
not really interested in the "playstation move".
thanks for any help.

Didn't MW3, or BF3 have bundles available?? I'm not sure as I am stationed in Germany, and not really sure what bundles are available.

MW3 was an xbox bundle. PS3 did have a black ops bundle but for some reason it is really expensive (over $400), it is only a 160 gb with one controler and the game where the uncharted 3 is 320 gb with controler and game for $300.

The Playstation Move is totally worth it IMO, just for the few shooters that utilize the Playstation Move Sharpshooter gun thing. Its a way more tactile experience than a controller or mouse/keyboard, and way more responsive as well

Id be interested in trying out the Move some day, as I love shooters, but Ill be the first to admit, playing shooters on the Wii, usually just annoys me. Id rather have joysticks to move/aim if the Wii controls are any indication of "motion controlling" shooter games

Seriously man, if you have got a 360 stick with it and save some ca$h, if you haven't buy a 360 instead, PS3 just isn't that good and from my point of view the games selection isn't that great, granted it has a lot of huge titles but they are mainly multi-platform. There's also the online problems which are appalling really, what you pay for it what you get, sony's is free so........

Not trying to flame the Brother-Captain, but when I got my playstation, one of the key things my wife insisted on (if I was going to replace my trusty PS2), was functionality.
We use the playstation 3 more for movies than games, as the blu-ray player is quite good, the optical audio outputs are great.
I may be highly partial to the system, but the "multi-platform" games that are on PS3 and 360 tend to look much, much better on a good HDTV, with HDMI than do their counterparts (I exlude the Wii, but you dont buy a Wii for graphics)

I think it depends what games you're into if you're more of a Halo, Dead Rising, Saints Row and Gears of War fan go for 360, if you're more of an Uncharted, Metal Gear Solid, Little Big Planet, Infamous and
Resistance fan go for PS3.

Well, this console generation should be nearing its close soon (it should have ended two years ago). You may want to consider waiting a year or two for a new generation, instead of putting your money down now.

Even if they have a PS4 come out soon, Sony will still make games for the PS3 for years. They are way cheaper than they were six years ago and they actually have a pretty decent selection of games now.

PS3 definitely has a selection of exclusives good enough to warrant a purchase now. It did 2 years ago, but it's gotten really awesome now.

Don't get me wrong guys I would love to play killzone, resistance, ratchet & clank and all and it's got some great features and that but in my life I only have so much time for gaming and for me the 360 is where it's at Could never betray the likes of halo and gears

Well that's the thing - if you're a Halo or Gears fan, you're not going to want a console they're not on.
Saying the PS3 "just isn't that good" is a pretty bold statement. Consider the exclusives it's gotten - the Resistance series, God of War 3 (and 1 and 2 redone for HD), the Ratchet and Clank series, the Killzone series, the Uncharted series, and more that I'm forgetting. The amount of quality games on the system now is really huge. There's plenty of exclusive gaming for a person to sink their hours into, and multiplatform games are generally the same on either console these days. You say that like your surprised. Is this your first adventure into a Bethesda game? Kind of par for the course. If you buy a Bethesda game on anything but PC, you deserve all the community fixable bugs you get

Try another 3 or 4... Sony released Move and Microsoft released Kinect to extend the console lives because developers are only now reaching the point where they are developing to the consoles fullest potentials. It didn't make any sense to them to release new consoles when the current ones are largely underutilized and the development costs would be so high.

Allow me to correct myself and expand upon what I said earlier. The current console generation should be nearing its close soon. The technology present in them is ancient, and the consoles themselves would be more at home in a museum than underneath your TV. There are still solid games coming out for them, and they both have extremely solid libraries (although for what it's worth, if you have a gaming PC, there's no reason to buy a 360), but every successive year just showcases further and further how weak the consoes actually are, and how the limitations in their hardware (especially by the way of memory and processing power) is holding back game development.

Except that I have yet to see a bug playing skyrim on xbox 360...ive heard of a few minor ones from friends, but that is it. Never had many problems with oblivion or fallout 3 on xbox either. I'm not trying to say that xbox is generally less buggier or anything, but I have heard that skyrim specifically is less buggy on xbox than ps3.

I had a buddy have that problem too. His save got too big and it totally messed up his game.
He ended up trading it for the PC version haha
