I can't think of a way to paint orange. The real difficulty I'm finding is how to base coat it. The darker version of orange is brown, so should I wash orange darker or would a mid-orange tone work.
If someone could help me right out an entire formula from base coat to final highlight, that would be a huge help.

Macharius Solar Orange. mmmm. Orangey. Foundationy.
Orange is a bit like yellow, in that it's easier to shade down to it than try to highlight up to it. I wouldn't try to hit a bright orange tone from brown, I'd tone down a yellow/ochre base with reddish glazes till it got where I wanted.

So...
-Start with Macharius Orange basecoat.
- Then blend down with brown/ochre/or reddish glazes?
What colores could that include? Dark Flesh + Tau Ochre?
The dark flesh already has a reddish tinge to it, and the Ochre would brighten it up a little... I dunno, I'm a little 'green' when it comes to painting Yellows and Oranges....
Highlighting should be easier (Bleached Bone+ Orange, perhaps?)

Yeah, dark flesh is a good shade, keep it nice and thin.
You could also start with Iyanden Darksun and work that back with baal red.
Bleached bone will work for a highlight, you want to be aiming at a light peach sort of colour.
Just experiment and see what you like.

It also depends on what kind of orange you are going for. Brown is certainly one viable base, but you could aslo go up from red if you want a brighter look.
