Figured I should start using Dakka's showcase gallery, great place that it is! It is tough to remember to put stuff in here after being so focused on the my P and M blog for years, but it will be nice to have a place where people don't have to dig through 35 pages to see what the end result is...

So, here we are, my custom Genestealer Magus - It started out with some concept art I did about 2 years ago, after which I hired Inquisitor Earl (a very talented Dakkaite) to start the sculpt on the mini. At the time, I had no experience sculpting, something I rectified in the interim. Earl did the bulk of the body, while I did the stafftop and the final touches on some of the armor, head and repositioned the right arm.

Here it is!

I love the fleur de lys (that's what it is right?) pattern on the robe!

Great idea for my Harlequins, I need something other than diamonds and stripes...

Edit: Sorry for the post reincarnation but with Codex GSC apparently coming up this weekend I thought it would be relevant / pertinent anyway.

Well, paint jobs are not news, they don't get outdated or irrelevant. You don't close the museum because the paintings are more than a year old right? That's one thing to love about art, it can always be new to somebody! If someone necro'd a Ben Komets piece I had never seen I sure wouldn't be upset about it lol

Have to say I am pretty proud this guy holds up pretty well against the new, real deal, I can't paint as much or as often as I used to, but the new GSC is slowly getting plucked at as time goes on, thanks for looking!
