A good deal of people play the 40k module, but I'm pretty sure you still have to find the module hidden somewhere in the Internet.

Interface is terrible. I tried to use it a while ago and didn't have a clue what I was doing.

Pretty sure VASSAL is the only option; at least the only well known one. Enough people can overcome whatever clunky interface it's got; I'm sure there's some tutorials out there to make it easier.

Whats interface mean? ? ? Sorry I am not computer savy... And since I skipped out on class I was looking up the 40k part and it says not licensed ? So I cant play?

It's ok if you don't have the ability to play IRL or you just want to test out a new build, but it doesn't replace the real deal.

Think of interface as the controlls. It is very confusing.

The interface isn't too bad, it's just really time consuming to figure out. By the time you have your models and the board set up for the first time, you'd be in turn 3 in a regular game. And that's assuming your opponent hasn't left by then.

What you need to do is google the Vassal40k mod. It'll give you a site that no longer exists. Now, view it as an archive and you can download it from the archive. Isn't the internet amazing?

The interface does take a little time to figure it out, but it's handy to be able to do if your LGS is far away and quite a few people still play it.

I'm sorry but I'm a complete noob at this kinda stuff; how do i view i from an archive. All the sites i've google just say the link doesn't exist no more
