I was just at Hobby Lobby a few hours ago to look for my first brushes. I wasn't in the market to pay for any of the really expensive ones they had (which I haven't seen recommended on this website), so I bought a cheaper set of the Master's Touch brushes.

Has anyone had any experience with these brushes? I haven't seen them mentioned on other threads, but the "better" cheaper kind I've seen to get has been the American Painter brushes.

I bought some of those Master Touch paint brushes, both individual and one of the sets. I like them, as long as you take the time to clean them, they will last. They have a huge selection of them at Hobby Lobby, so you can get all different types that you might need to do different techniques.

I think as long as you are getting quality work out of your brush, doesn't matter how much you paid for it. I would try them out, my opinion.
