Subject: Simple CC Question

Resolute Ultramarine Honor Guard
|
A chaplain with a jump pack leaves its squad and moves, then runs, to get in cohesion with a different squad but didn't quite make it. The new squad, moved without the chaplain, shot, and then charged...
After the charge, the new squad is in cohesion with the chaplain, but the chaplain (clearly) is not in the cc.
A) is the chaplain part of the squad?
B) if so, can he give the reroll on charging?
C) what page(s) back this up

No - you only join/leave units during the movement phase, not during the assault phase.

No - you only join/leave units during the movement phase, not during the assault phase.
Or even the shooting phase... right? So even if a fleet unit had ran to join a squad before assaulting, it wouldn't actually be part of the squad, just the CC... right?

Running/fleeting is in the shooting phase not the movement phase so you can't join then either.

^ Correct. He wont be apart of the squad until the owning players next movement phase.... but I am not sure if he can if locked in cc.... even if in coherency.
