I frequently play games against a competent Ork player and get stomped a lot, so I was thinking of trying this list out on him soon. We tailor-make our lists per game in my crew and don't use uniques(except for Apoc), plus we rock WYSIWYG and my models are (a little) limited. The idea behind this is an immovable phalanx of 60 warriors to hold a line, using the Phaeron upgrade to move the center forward and bait him, then move back and catch a WAGGHH! in the crossfire, using the scarabs to move forward and slow down any forward units by a turn or so. Feel free to comment/criticize!

Overlord - Phaeron, Res Orb, Tachyon Arrow, Tesseract Labyrinth, Gauntlet of Fire
20 Warriors
Lord - Res Orb, Tesseract Labyrinth, Gauntlet of Fire

5 Scarabs
Doomsday Ark
Annihilation Barge

Personally I would go with the Mind Shackle Scarabs over the T-Labs, but I'm sure their is something in particular in his list you included them for. Also, just my play style maybe, but I would go with two blocks of 20, both with phaerons and lord w/orbs. Res orbs are much better on normal lords then Warlords (as they can't be targeted and remove early in CC.) I would put gauntlets on the Warlord and War scythes on the normal Lords, but mayb ehe has nothing in his list you might need the WS for (Kans, Naughts, nob bikers, etc).

With the points you save dropping one of your bricks I would nab some anti horde, maybe tesla immortals, Tomb blades, Tomb stalker, normal destroyers, or whatever, depending on what you got to work with.

Also if you got the old metal models Flayed Ones are just nails as a buffer against orks.

I would bring in 2 annihilation barges because they do a lot of damage. Just one of them has the chance of hitting the Orks with 12 S7 hits. Thats a lot of power. Then it could ark to other units (more than one) and do D6 S5 hits.

Thanks for the input, honestly a lot of my list is limited to my models or I would have thrown in another(or maybe 2 more) Annihilation barges. The Labyrinths on all the characters are for the Ork Nobz in the boyz squads with powerclaws, they were one of my not so sure additions. Mind Shackle Scarabas are very effective, but randomly targeted, so being able to target the one Ork Nob(Warboss, Painboy, ect) I want to kill is the tradeoff. I do have 10 flayed ones, and was thinking about taking them as an anti-Loota squad, but their mobility sucks and I've only been able to use them effectively as a counter-assault unit. Again, thank you guys for the input, it gave me a bit to think about, and I might change up the list a bit before the game

Does your opponent use a footslogging army or a mechanized army most of the time? If he has a Big Mek with a KFF I would try to include more Tesla weapons, especially if he is hoofing it.

honestly, just take the Special Character who can get rid of Furious Charge on a squad of Boys.

So you told the SD boy to stay classy. I'm sure he's NEVER heard that one....

I feel like you will have trouble making use of your flame templates. You really want a way to get them up there fast if you plan on using them. I guess they might just be a toss in, but I'm sure this could be done to great effect.

Also, remember your warriors are really not making their points back vs orcs in cc, unless you have them really well backed up (which is expensive in itself)

Remember ghost arks act like a whole whack of warriors as well as a transport. They shoot a lot, and if you are tricksy, they actually put more wounds on the table. They also eat a lot of rokkits.
But I'd say my favourite part about them, is that they are open topped, and lords can travel in them. You can either fill it with a deathstar court or throw a couple lords or cryptek's in them with a squad. You then have either a charge ramp or gunboat or both. With your gauntlets in good supply, you have a serious anti infantry threat that lends a lot of utility and robustness to your force. Lords are expensive, but what fun it would be broadsiding the mob, shooting a couple flame templates out of the side and then charging out with a couple lords with Scarabs to confuse the nob. Or you could just stay in the transport and roast them till they roll an answer.

Tesla weaponry is also really strong against mobs and can really slow down parking lots. You get so many high strength hit's for your points.

Tesla immortals with tranny crypteks make for a really solid and mobile core army if you just want to be doing a lot of damage to heavy or massed infantry.

Lastly tomb blades are very cost effective in a similar way, and quite splashable. It's a very full FA slot, and it's not as if necrons don't already have a really easy time with anti infantry shooting, but tomb blades really go to work for their points cost if you plan on focusing your points elsewhere with your troops selections.

It's just a show, I should really just relax... It's just a show, I should really just relax... It's just a show, I should really just relax... It's just a show, I should really just relax...

I'd take more scarabs for decent CC, drop the doomsday ark and grab another annihilation barge.
Other than that the list looks like it could handle it. But then again I don't know what their list looks like lol.
