Here will be chronicled my personal projects - things I work when I should be creating shiny things for Mr Dog (you know who you are).

First up a contemptor Dread for my Cheesy Bangles

Going for Assault cannon and DCCW

Ok update time.

When playing with these belts I find it good to make them longer than you first thought - too mucch tension in the belt can damage it.

Pinned both ends with 1mm wire - drills very nicely.

removing mould lines is best done with an emery board. I put the board on the desk and rubbed the afflicted area on the board. Scraping with scalpel is best for flash.

Looks good parts blend well, even inspired me to get a dread now just to use the cheesy bangles cant afford one mind but hey I think the belt looks better left longer gives the mini more natural looking movement.

Now stop playing around back to the workshop WOOF WOOF !

Yep, I'll be following this one as well! It looks like the belt alone could hold enough ammo for an entire campaign!

Small update on the contemptor.

Used brass rods as supplied bits were a bit bent and not as straight Bit of a faff to do mind.

Left hand not sure what to do holding on to an I beam or something or just by his side - any ideas? (its only held together with black tack - more awesome than blu tack but could do with some skulls!

Also started a daemon prince got my bits and then decided to drill out the chest vent - why I can't do it the easy way I'll never know.

i like the pose of the dread... like holding on to a lamppost or a part of a ruin for better stability... totally pointless but cool as hell^^

also the gun looks very good!

as for the drilly action...yeah^^

Looking good nice pose, keep the pen in his hand build a large wall next to him and stick a post it note on it then write on it I should be producing new bits for the Dog not playing with my toys.


No only kidding mate I like it and I know what you mean about the barrels some stuff you just cant straighten from FW its like bloody rubber, Could you not have him holding some kind of large industrial piping of the side of a building

That looks cool. Nice use of one of your ammo belt. The assault cannon is brilliant.

If it is not too late I think he should be holding onto some sort of lamp post.

Ola some work done,

Contemptor I think needs a lamp post or other and has caugt a serious case of green stuff casting.

The DP Now has a bolt pistol/heavy bolter and actually needed a hole in the head - go figure!

Long way to go yet!

that bolter handle looks weird... sorry mate...but there needs to be some way to improve that...

Yes have to agree the handle is at a funny angle mate a little adjustment and should be good and the rest is looking good some kind of lamp post should work

Spare contemptor fist being used as a powerfist, didn't like the wiggly fingered originals plus a clue to where this hole thing is going!

I had to reread that crotch remark for a moment I thought you was referring to your model at first then realised what the hell you were talking about I think I might get one of those after all.

Got the power fist wired up.

(always good to keep checking continuity when assembling models with electrics)

Looking good I have to admit, not normally a fan of LED in models looks wrong with painted light sources but that shining out of the power fist just screams Iron man to me now there is an idea …….

Update - Clear cast flames are better than I hoped for!

Base has been started - going for a Lava theme.

interesting way to make a lava base... i think i have to try that too... made my own lava bases with airdry clay... but totally diffently...

How did you bend the belt for the dread's cannon? Just get it warm and gently work it over? It doesn't look like you cut out the segments and glued them back together. How did you prevent the belt from stretching on the bends?
