Hey guys.

After re-reading my marine dex, and seeing several wonderful blogs on here, I have been filled with a hobby enthusiasm for the Ultramarines ( i have been doing this hobby for 10 years and have never done them before)

Now, i have come here because i have no idea where to go with the list. Basically anything, but sicarius or cassius is up for consideration.

Thank you all in advance.

With smurfs you really don't have a concise direction to go, unlike DE, GKs or the 3 or 5 BA builds. More than any other codex, vanilla SM can go the most different effective* builds.

If you've played other armies, tell what you liked, and maybe you have a direction to go.

*'Effiective' being a relative term.

Yeah it kinda helps to know what kinda play style you might have. You say you have been playing for 10 years. Well what other army/s do you have? Just a bit more information would be helpful.

In 40k I've been playing tyranids for the last year. Big stuff with ymgarls. and in fantasy I play ogres, again big stuff that hits people in the face.

I want some kind of variety from those armies.

What are you favourite models?

It is possible to build a list around any model in the codex. This is means you'll like you army.

There is no way to play ultramarines as tyranids so you'll be fine
