So I'm doing a lot of commission stuff right now, but I found the time to finish these Berserkers that I've been sitting on for about two months. A while ago I made this thread asking how to paint them, but ended up throwing out most of that advice. In the end, I decided to paint them in pretty standard Khorne Berserker colors, but with Iron Warriors shoulder pads, and caution stripes on their weapons to tie them into the army. Here they are!
I learned that red is a bastard to paint. I figured by going with a darker red I could have it easier, but no luck for me. It was also my first time trying a red over brown. I think the squad looks suitably desaturated, and will look cohesive with my Iron Warriors pretty well.
Once I've got my Land Raider built and painted I'll do some whole army shots!

Nice! Liking the red, and liking the hazard stripes. Definitely a good touch to tie them in.

What I reccomend, if you are looking for some techniques, is to paint the Khorne Berserkers the same base colours as your Iron Warriors and then dry brush Blood Red or whatever red you like. It gives the model a nice metallic look.

Do you have some examples? I'm running it over in my head and I can't picture it looking terribly good :(
Thanks for the kind words everyone! They are a little World Eater-y, but I wanted to try some red!

In all honesty, I'm a lady painter but for whatever you used to paint the world eaters, paint it over the Iron Warrior scheme and it should give it a mettalic look
