Hello again!

I just wanted to ask if it was possible and viable to run an army just using heroes?

Also, has anybody done this, and if so, who did you use?

Thanks!

yep I've done this before but there are some draw backs. Although hero's munch through normal foot troops, the great disadvantage is being out numbered and picked off by archers. They get so bogged down (& trapped often) that they can have problems. Also the fact that you have so few units 1 or 2 wounds on a character is quite fatal at times. Otherwise they can do really well. This is just my view I got, so it's different for everyone. You can often do scenario's for example the 'Mines of Moria' one but you usually need some sort of objective to make the game more fun. In fact there was just recently a SBG scenario in White Dwarf where the fellowship decided to take Boromir's advice and go through the gap of Rohan where they later had to escape Saruman's armies.
