So I've been working on my small game/ doubles list for Necrons and this is what I've come up with so far.

HQ
OverLord: Scythe (100)
Catacomb command Barge: Gauss (80)
Royal Court: Cryptek, Eldritch Lance (35)
Cryptek, Tremor Staff (30)

Troops
10 Necron Warriors: (130)
10 Necron Warriors: (130)
10 Necron Warriors: (130)

Fast Attack
5 Canoptek Scarabs: (75)
5 Canoptek Scarabs: (75)

Heavy Support
Annihilation Barge: (90)
Annihilation Barge: (90)

It's fairly bland but I think it picks up some of the better units in the codex namely the barges. I also wanted to go fairly troop heavy seeing as most real counter assault units are fairly expensive. Having 30 warriors will let me sacrifice one to an incoming charge and buy the rest of the army a round of shooting.

I was looking for input and where to put the 35 remaining points. I could afford another lance cryptek or I could convert the tremor staff cryptek into a Lord with MSS and a war scythe to add a little CC threat. My main worry is +3 save monstrous creatures such as a demon prince or trygon seeing as something that quick could easily cut through most of this army.

Just looking for any input I can get, Thanks in advance.

I would rearrange the troops something like this:

15 Necron Warriors: (185)
Lord w/RO/WS/MSS (90)
10 Necron Warriors: (130)
Cryptek, Eldritch Lance (35)

5 points left over

or:

10 Tesla Immortals (170)
Lord w/RO/WS/MSS (90)
10 Necron Warriors: (130)
Cryptek, Eldritch Lance (35)

20 points left over.

I just think having a troop selection that you can afford to be a bit aggressive with will help out tremendously.

Another option would be to swap one group of warriors with Flayed Ones. Bubble wrap the warriors with them, they'll tar-pit just about anything that tries to get close.

^^^ That too. With the second layout I recommended with the Tesla Immortals I would spend the last 20 pts on a SP.
