When I expand this list to 2000pts I'll add a Drop pod for the melta squad as well as 2 lasbacks with 5 man tact squads (flamer or metla), possibly swap the captain for a master of the forge and grab some more dreads.

The captain would be better with artificer armour and relic blade, using the same model. There are better HQs.

Drop podding a single dread makes it a suicide unit. Then one dread will wait even to get on the battlefield.

The other dread would be better with 2TLautocannon.

You have too many troops. There are much tastier units available.

Your tactical squads need some transportation. I have no idea which unit gets the 'raider or how they run but I would never go for the heavy bolter.

How about giving the scout unit meltabombs at least, if not a combimelta. How does the storm and teleport homer interact? as doesn't one jam the other, I think I struggled with this at some point.

You do not have enough protection for the 'raider to survive/work well.

There is a list of thoughts. In general I am not sure what you are aiming for so I can not give a narrative to my advice
