I didn't realize he was that old.

Amidst the mists and coldest frosts he thrusts his fists against the posts and still insists he sees the ghosts.

This is a classic case of incorrect comma placement changing the meaning of a sentence.

I thought that worth mentioning as he was such a good writer.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

I just found out via BBC news that Nick Clegg used to work for him, which is interesting.

I almost always agree with Albatross, I can't see why anyone wouldn't.

Can't say I had much taste for him myself, behind a powerful rhetoric was a fairly weak intellect.
But a death is never a good thing. Anyway I heard he was having soem revolutionary new therapy that involved mapping the genetic make-up of his tumour?

Ever thought 40k would be a lot better with bears?

I've found death is often an awesome thing.

I'm very sad to see him go.
Having found my way from a very pentecostal childhood, to the athiest I am today, Mr. Hitchens was a source of great comfort and teaching for me.
Politically I found myself disagreeing with much of what he wanted, but his philosophy on religion and humanism really resonated in my life.

Rest in peace old boy.

Obviously Ive read most of his books, I didnt agree with him on many things though, but I really enjoyed them, I think he was a funny bloke as well, always drinking and smoking.

He famously said he did basically give himself cancer, and he said "I admit I did burn the candle at both ends with all the smoking and drinking, but it gave off a lovely light"
