I think it's a cool idea, does it work? Heck if I know. lol

Are you reserving snikrot and the Trukks? Or are they all deployed up front?

I really like the idea!

However KFF is essential for this kind of list.

I assume that the trukk boyz and nobz are there to form the first wave? The only issue here is you are really relying on the deffkoptas to kill AV before they get in. This is not a very certain thing, especially if you don't go first.

As much as I do like the idea I feel those units may be better spent on fire support (kannons etc) or killa kanz to support your big wave.

Does the Warboss go with Snikrot? If not, he should, an enemy Warboss coming in from your own table edge is simply terrifying.

Warboss doesn't have infiltrate special rule if he joined the unit they woudln't be able to infiltrate.

But yeah the plan is to flank the enemy from all sides, no where is safe.

The hammer and anvil strategy they run from one and get nailed in the back by the other

Trukks and Koptas rush in first with a ton of boys running right behind them full speed ahead to engage as quickly as possible. The real kicker are the 90 boyz that arrive in later while everything else is meant to psychologically pressure the opponent into making a bad decision

Actually the warboss CAN Ambush with him. This has been FAQ'ed.

ORK.62C.01 – Q: Can an Independent Character (such
as a Warboss on a bike) join Snikrot’s unit before the
game and arrive with them via ‘Ambush’?
A: Yes.

So you can put Ghazzie with Snikrot.... Scary!!

I've run similar lists as this, and it works really well, no matter what people say about not taking different speed sections... I think the one thing this and every list should have is Lootas... I love em!! :p

Are you serious they FAQ'd that in???

Does it only work for orks? The rulebook clearly prevents that sort of thing in the IC rules and for good reason.

-evil grin- this opens up a whole world of possibilities now...

Yes they FAQ'd it. Grots are OP all ready showed you that. It is Snikrots special rule it is not a universal rule so it works. You can't infiltrate with them as that is a USR. But you can use his ambush as that is not one. I hope that makes sense.

Yeah i rationalized it after reading that...and oh boy oh boy am i excited to try this out.

Why can't they do something nice like that for the Tyranids....thats my fav army and yet they give us the most slowed FAQ possible.

I can see bringin a warboss in as a good plan or a big mek with burna in a unit of kommandos with burnas with snikrot 3 flamers to the back! ouch

Nice list! My Tau would tremble in fear.
Yeah, I'd definitley give Snikrot's squad burnas; even if you don't need to kill hordes, six power weapon attacks!
About the big mek though, if you are going to take one at all he would probabally be better off with the nobz KFF ing your trukks.

A note about the trukks: I personally believe that you are better off with reinforced rams on the trukks as opposed to grot riggers. I find most of what would immobilize my trukks usually ends up blowing them up anyway, and being able to drive right through terrain with impunity, and then tank shock if you want to, is well worth it.
I would also consider boarding planks to clean up after your koptas, but mabye I spend too much on my trukks.

Yeah i usually do upgrade the ram on the trukks but i consider the grot rigger more important overall since an immobilized trukk is a dead trukk that didnt serve it's purpose and immobilised results are much more likely than rolling a 1 on terrain (which grot rigger can repair by the way )

if i do have the extra 15 pts left over i always give em the ram upgrade but in this case i didnt.

And i agree the KFF mek should go in the trukk...but for purely fun i would love to toss him in with snikrot to dish out 3 flamers some day to the back of a poor sap lol

Well, I can't exactly argue with pyromania now can I (I usually run at least 10 templates in my Ork lists)
Although, if you are up against a cunning player with a shooty army, they can string their forces out along the table edges denying you your fun, so be careful about that.

My issue with the grot rigger is that you already lose a turn of movement (or more), and again, what with AV 10 with open topped I usually just lose the trukk. But hey, I usually have a mek in my important vehicles anyway, and if you have found them to be useful then by all means go for it.

Another really nasty dude to Ambush in with snikrot is grotsnik. Grotsnik also allows any unit in your army to upgrade to cybork. You can cybork the ambush kommandos and give them all FNP and fearless with grotsnik. There is just something so correct about "Fearless Komamndos" that you almost have to do it.

Ya I think you need a KFF mek in this list. You can drop a Buzzcopta and a few boys. You got 90 boys footslogging, a KFF will make this list so much more intense. It's a really cool list. I've never run anything like this before and I'd love to see a report if you play a game with it.
