i Just started to play WHFB and i was building my Skarmy when a friend of mine broke my beautiful vision telling me that unit size limit is 40!
Is that true? i cannot find it on the rulebook or on an up-tp-date post in internet; my last hope is to get infused with Dakka common knowledge.
Thanks to who care to help me

Skarmy I assume to be a Skaven army. Your friend may referring to composition restrictions at a local tournament or club. Generally speaking there are no unit size limits (though exceptions abound). You should ask him where the restriction comes from. It may be something your local group uses as a standard house rule, but it is by no means universal.

“It was in lands of the Chi-An where she finally ran him to ground. There she kissed him deeply as he lay dying, and so stole from him his last, agonized breath.

On a delicate chain at her throat, she keeps it with her to this day.”

Each unit in an army book lists the minimum and maximum.

If you have local rules, however, that can trump things.

But no, 40 is not a magic number across the board. Each unit is completely different.

As above. There is NO general rule limiting units to 40 models, however army books themselves may limit your unit size
