Hey guys,
So I've been looking for the right army to fit my style for a long time, and I think Blood Angels may be that army for me. Before I say what I'm looking for in an army however, I was curious if anyone would be willing to tell me about them and why they play them. Looking for general strengths and weaknesses. Variety in lists. How well they do against armies like DE with Lance / venom spam.
Thanks a lot!

I play them because I like the blood angel fluff. reading about the noble sacrifice of their primarch made me initially pick them up. The second factor was the death company they used to be good, their fluff still is cool.
Lists for the BA:
Razorbacks(With assault marines without their jump packs) with Ball Preds and Preds.
or
Jump pack troops deep striking in (DoA lists)
These two seem to be the most common, but there are a variety of lists you can build that can work.
their effectiveness against DE is good, especially with the vehicle lists, that is a lot of firepower.
Strengths:
Vehicle lists can be quite effective.
The Red Thirst can sometimes buff units for assaults.
The have TH/SS terminators (Like most other marines)
The librarian powers are very close combat oriented.
Furioso Dreadnoughts with dual Blood Talons shred just about anything.
Mephiston.
Baal Perdators.
Most of their vehicles are fast
Land raiders as dedicated transports.
Weaknesses:
The librarian powers are very close combat oriented.
Tactical squads are useless.
The Death company are very difficult to use correctly, and cost too much. The same goes for Death company Dreadnoughts.
Hope this helped.

Hmmm. Thank you.
Your lists of weaknesses don't really bother me too much. I never really planned on using a tac squad, because the jump packs are more my style.
That helped a lot. I still hope to hear more opinions, but that was good to read.

I play BA, well the Flesh Tearers. BA is a good, fast, combat oriented army, and Baal preds are the bees knees for reals
