Subject: ASF reroll vs. GW with higher I?

If Model X has Always Strikes First, and Model Y has higher initiative but is wielding a Great Weapon, does Model X get to reroll misses against Model Y?
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

The always strikes last rule does not alter your initative it just makes you ignore initiative for the purposes of when you strike (I.E. Great weapons don't die to pit of shades on 2's). The always strikes first rule depends on your having higher initiative, not striking order.
Therefore you will not re-roll misses.

I didn't quite understand the explanation, but the answer was correct.
Always Strikes Last cancels out Always Strikes First, resulting in the model swinging at its own Initiative with no re-rolls.

Warbrucy - you didnt understand the question
Model A has ASF, and Initiative X
Model B has Init X+1, AND has a GW
Model A loses rerolls to hit because the initiative of the model they are attacking is higher than theirs; the presence of the GW is irrelevant
