So , i have been reading on about how to protect my dark peggy/sorc with a reverse ward on it. I came across that someone recommended to put her in a gropup of dark riders or cold one, she could be targeted for spells and templates, but as for shooting the shots would be distrubted againist rank and file. any truth to this? if so can you post BRB pages

Yes if a unit is hit by BS based shooting characters are indeed protected.

Scratch that i'm wrong he gets to allocate instead, it's in the combined units section of therule go read it (small book pg.99).

As Hover said, p99 (either book size) gives you the exact rules for this, with no room for queries.
