What effect does Hypex (roll 3d6 to run, pick the highest) have if I have a Succubus or Archon (with combat drugs) join a unit without combat drugs? Do I roll seperately for both, only get to roll one d6 for everyone (making the drug roll useless) or roll 3d6 as usual and the whole unit gets the benefit. Clearly the only other drug that could affect a joined unit would be the one that gives a pain token, I don't see Dark Eldar being too share-y when it comes to their drug of the moment.

I'm planning to put my Archon with combat drugs into an Incubus unit, but I also need to trim 10 pts from somewhere...

6th edition lands on June 23rd!

Good news. This is the best time in the hobby. Full of promise. GW lets us down each time and we know it but secretly we're hoping that this is the edition that GW gives us a balanced game that can also be played competitively at tournaments. I'm loving it.

You move at the speed of the slowest model, so the drugs are useless.

Unfortunately that doesn't quite answer my question. Do you mean to say that I only roll 1d6 rather than 3 and pick the highest? Or d6 for the unit and 3d6 for the IC seperately?

You would only roll 1d6 as that is the best the unit as a whole would have.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

Agree with mr Happy - the extra dice is useless for the IC. The Run roll is for a unit, not each model. Same goes for the ICs "move through cover" for being an IC - you roll for the whole unit, not individual models.

1D6, as the unit moves at the speed of the slowest model, and the unit can only move at 1D6, not the 3D6/highest of the IC
