So having learned to play 40k with Eldar I have discovered I enjoy a very aggressive play style. I hate reacting to my opponent and playing a defensive game. So my goal in writing this list was to create a two wave approach. First wave is composed of Overlord with Barge, Scarabs, Wraiths, and Spyders. The aim of the first wave is to aggressively advance and destroy and vehicles or tar pit any hard targets or heavy weapons squads.
The Second wave consists of the Immortals and the Annihilation Barges. These units advance onto objective or mid field while the opponent is dealing with the assault elements. As the opponents transports are popped or their units become unengaged wave two targets the infantry since it is all equipped with Tesla weapons.
HQ
OverLord: Scythe (100)
Catacomb Command Barge: (80)
Royal Court: Cryptek, Eldrich Lance, Solar Pulse (55)
Troops
10 Immortals: Tesla Carbine (170)
10 Immortals: Tesla Carbine (170)
10 Immortals: Tesla Carbine (170)
Fast Attack
8 Canoptek Scarabs: (120)
8 Canoptek Scarabs: (120)
5 Wraiths: Whip Coil (185)
Heavy Support
Annihilation Barge: (90)
Annihilation Barge: (90)
3 Canoptek Spyders: (150)
1500
Just wondering if there is anything to include in the list to fit the build strategy or if the build strategy is any good? Just thought the best way for Necron troops to avoid assault is to pour on the pressure with my own assault elements.

Your wraiths are underpriced. 5 whips makes it 225 not 185

Chaos daemons 1850
Chaos Marines 1850
2250+
2500++ (Wraithwing)
I moved so starting from scratch. These were the armies I had, rebuilding my Chaos. |

Let us know how this approach works... I'm of the school of thought of maximizing the tesla destructor's firepower by firing it at units that are not engaged and near other enemy units, not holding back with it and firing around tar pits.
I almost feel like setting up the immortals and barges up front and blasting away with your assault units right behind them to move in as soon as the enemy gets in assault range.
I guess it really depends on the army you're facing which strategy will work better, but that's kind of the beauty of this list.

I'd be interested in hearing how this turns out for you, I had been considering a "two prong" list myself but mine was more in line with a "hold the line" element and then one for flanking.

IMO you should have only one scarab swarm replace annotation barges and a troop for more wraiths and spyders
