Ok this list is to play my friends BA. Its just for a fun game after the holidays but I'm just wondering what you guys think I could do to improve it with out having to gut the whole thing. Ok here it is:

HQ
-Kor'sarro Khan=160
-Tigurius=230

TROOPS
-10 man Tac squad w/ Melta, MM, Combi-Melta; Rhino=220
-10 man Tac squad w/ Flamer, Lascannon, Combi-Melta; Rhino=225
-5 man Sniper Scouts= 75

ELITE
-5 man Sternguard w/ 2 combi-melta; Laserback=220
-5 man Sternguard w/ 2 combi-melta; Laserback=220
-5 man Assualt Termies w/ TH&SS; LRR w/ MM=450

FAST ATTACK
-x2 Attack Bikes w/ 1 MM=90
-x2 Attack Bikes w/ 1 MM=90

TOTAL=1960

I got 40 points I have no Idea what to do with. I willing to drop the scouts but for what?

I'm gonna play everything in reverse and out-flanking besides the scouts who will walk on as late as possible (turn 3-4) to grab a home objective. Tigurius will help to get as much of my force as possible on the board on turn 2 with his re-roll reserves rule. He and Khan will be in the LRR with the Termies to make a nice Deathstar that he will have to deal with asap (especially if they end up on his short end by out-flanking). Bikes pop his Tanks, Tacs and stern form my gun line(thats if they end up together after out-flanking, but chances are that some of them will). I know Tigurius is a super point sink in this list but since its just for fun I figured I test drive him.

My friend only fields 1 LRC and 1 baal pred, am I bringing to much melta to the party? He also brings 15 Death Company w/ Chap, 3 Sang Priest, 10 Assault guys, 5 Assualt Termies, Sang Guard and 10 Tac guys. All outfitted to the teeth . Any tips how to deal with these guys?

Not keen on the mixed attack bikes. Having a HB and MM in a squad means that one weapon will be pretty much worthless every turn. Go all MM in my books. I would also get camo cloaks on those Snipers and possibly chuck a ML in there.

On the outflanking you are looking to get pretty close against a better CC army than yours! I would personally just look to keep distance and shoot him up instead or tie his units up with dreads.

Drop tiguriois for a basic lib spend remaining points on more stern guard they eat power armor when rapid firing and keep lin close enough to null sang shield of his lib

Keep Tigurius out of cc. He is still worth more alive then dead.

Sternguard are better in a rhino so they can shoot their guns.

You will miss combat tactics against a cc heavy army. Take powerfists and powerweapons for your squads, it sounds silly but if you get the charge on his assault squads you will not do too badly.

Sounds like a fun battle

Ok thanks for all the ideas, I'll be switching all the attack bikes to MM (good point ruminator). As for the outflanking, we will most likely play 2 or 3 games over a weekend so I'll play it both ways, and I wont be able to tie his units up with dreads very well since his death company has 2 PF and a TH, his termies are all TH&SS, his sang guard and assault squads just avoid them (I've tried this before).

One of the games I'm gonna remove the scouts and add a Vindicator in. I know he will be very lonely on my side but my friend can't let a nice big target like that sit there with out going after it (I know him too well) which will take his sang guard or LRC out of his deployment area because those are his only real reliable anti-tank besides his foot slogging Tac guys with a combi-melta, besides that he has a lascannon on the other half of his tac squad (combat squads) that he posts up in cover on an objective. If he decides not to deal with it than it might make it far enough to get a shot off and that might really hurt his troop based army.
