Pulsating Possessed Chaos Marine

Page 82 of Necron codex: " Exile ray: If shot from a weapon with exile ray type hits, randomly select a model in the target unit. That model must immediately pass a strength test or be removed as a casualty with no saves of any kind allowed. Models with no strength value automatically pass.

So many questions:

1. How do you elect which model is hit?

2. Can it effect an IC in a unit?

3. What is a strength test?!

4. If there is an ability that allows them to come back (everliving, pass a leadership to keep a wound, the SOB special unkillable character) can they try to use it since no saves are allowed?

1) Randomly. As in, roll a d6, 8, 10, etc.
2) Yes, randomly
3) Page 8
4) It removes as a casualty. Any ability which triggers from this, like RP, Justicar Thawn, etc, would be triggered and they can attempt to resurrect at the appropriate time
