Some say that the eldritch lance is one of the "unique wargear options", but some others tell me that it is not "unique".

My question is : Can I put 5 Harbinger of Destruction in one Royal Court?

yes it is. The book plainly says that any cryptek can be upgraded to a single type of harbinger. What you've got right there is completely legal.

In any royal court you may have 0-5 crypteks and any may be an upgraded harbinger of your choice.all can be the same type or they could be all different. The only limit to that crypteks composition is the 2 unique pieces of wargear on the option list for that specific harbinger. So any cryptek can become a harbinger of destruction and they will get that weapon upgrade for that harbinger. but you may only take the unique wargear once in a royal court.

Just tell them, that when you upgrade to a Harbinger you "MUST" exchange the staff of light.

Wargear OPTIONS are unique. The Eldritch lance is NOT unique.

I think nos is saying that the eldritcht lance is not an OPTION.

It automatically replaces the staff of light when you upgrade a cryptek to a harbinger.

Therefore, you are not breaking the restriction of "unique wargear options" because taking the lance isn't an option. It's a mandatory switch that occurs when you upgrade a cryptek.

I don't think it's legal to mix schools in the Court.

It says, (paraphrased) "Any number of Crypteks can be upgraded to a single specific type of Harbinger..." which means that any number of the 5 crypteks can remain un-upgraded or be in only one of the other schools. For example, 2 plain and 3 destruction. Not 2 plain, 2 destruction, 1 despair.

If it was meant to work as a mix-and-match, I believe the wording would be "Any Cryptek can be upgraded to a single specific type of Harbinger..."

I concede that I can be totally wrong, but I'm personally playing it as the latter until the FAQ comes out, although I'm not calling out any opponents on the former, as I could be totally wrong (???).

You are totally wrong

You may have as many different types as you like - the wording makes it explicit that you can take any number of the same type, you are not limited to one. Not strictly needed, as permission to do so is already granted, but it also does not add any restrictions.

For Reference

"Any number of Crypteks that are in a Royal Court can be upgraded to a single specific type of harbringer. Whilst you can have any number of harbringers of a specific type. each of the harbringers unique wargear options can only be chosen once in each Royal Court (see page 84)

So Hollowmirror is correct, You can take as many Destruction Crypteks as you can but only 1 per court can have Gaze of flame, and 1 can have solar pulse. The Staff is a required piece of wargear that is purchased during the upgrade, the optional weargear are the spells/effects.
