Would it be possible to have a 'screensaver' of highly scored dakka images that renews it's self every so often with newly added images?

I've thought about a page which is just a constantly refreshing pile of images, but the formatting is quite tough to do effectively without killing our bandwidth requirements. Having a downloadable thing is too much of a pain to support in the long term, and web based has too much overhead, so probably not I'm afraid.
