Just finished up turning a couple of toy cars into gaming models. These will likely see use in our post apoc games, but occasionally we do a zombie game where they could be usefull.

Here's the results:

You can see complete illustrated step-by-step instructions, scale comparisons and hi-res pics at our club's blog:

Weathering skills are there...and they are very nice indeed.

I would love to see your work on some 40K stuff too!

Look at those, and I think 'Fallout 3'.

I think that's a compliment.

Thanks for the kind words. I can't stress enough that these are really easy to do.

Black gesso primer, drybrushed base colors, a couple of Burnt Sienna Brown washes and a light drybrushing of tan for dust.

As for 40k, I haven't done much 40k recently and when I did my IG army, I used colored basecoats sprays and a brushed on "dip" rather than the techniques shown above. There are some tanks in this gallery.

Here's a 40k'ish dumptruck and buildings I did a while ago

They are painted with essentially the same process as the Two trucks above.

Thanks,
Not 40k Apocalypse, but rather Post-Apocalypse genre games. We use the ruleset Wastelands, which has nice streamlined vehicle rules. Here's an example of one of our games of Wastelands.

The writeup is from one of our member's blogs dating to earlier this year before we started our club blog.
