So as stated, if you roll a 6 does it negate the RP for crons? I mean it is opening a rift in the warp so it would suck them in, right.? What do y'all think?

The idea now is that crons always get their reanimation protocols roll, no matter what apart from rules that say otherwise, such as JOTWW. Do D-Cannons say removed as a casualty with no saves aloud?

Actually as it isnt a save now, and is instead a counter, i imagine they will get their reanimation protocols.

in the warp plotting my revenge.

D cannon says causes instant death on a role of 6 to wound. So, yes necrons still get reanimation as their rules say nothing about instant death.

It's what I thought. Thanks guys. Just another nerf to the Eldar, oh well maybe when the new dex comes out it will have counters to it.

This is kind of surprising, the D cannon used to be end all, you're screwed, straight to the warp, do not pass go. That and Vortex grenades but maybe I'm showing my age.

Of course, back in those days, C'tan were nigh invulnerable, and a roll of 6 on the Wraithcannon inflicted a single wound, no saves at all...

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

Well as long as were talking about "the good old days" we can bring back height numbers for terrain, strategy ratings, and why not, THAC0 for us D&D nerds...

I get the feeling RP is going to be FAQ'd eventually, but raise more questions than it answers...

The Viletide: Daemons of Nurgle/Deathguard: 7400 pts
Disclples of the Dragon - Ad Mech - about 2000 pts
GSC - about 2000 Pts
Rhulic Mercs - um...many...
Circle Oroboros - 300 Pts or so
Menoth - 300+ pts

Agreed., now if I could only find a group to play SW saga edition with (personally MUCH better then Revised rules, where Jedi had to slit their wrists to use the Force). But I digress, I think we are getting a bit OT.

I think I got into an argument over something similar with Inquisitor Valeria from the GK codex (who was also mentioned in the necron codex)

The hyperstone Maze that she apparently received from the Necrons in the fluff suffer the same kind of verbage problem when it comes to RP or ever living.

In universe, it doesn't make any sesne for RP to work since there isn't even a body left to re-animate. The necron is still alive of a sorts and inside the box. Why does something that is still technically alive need to reanimate?

Anyways, that's just my tirade. The rules for RP need some clarification but until then, stuff like this doesn't work. They somehow just reanimate anyway.

+ Thought of the day + Not even in death does duty end.
