So I have played several variations of this list, and I really like it. I like the fangs, the troops, the hq in a razorback, and the lone wolf, but I am not sold over the dreadnaught or land speeders vs. the thunderwolves, but what do you guys think? anything I can do to make this list better?

With no firing points on the Razorback, how do you plan to use JotWW without disembarking?

you're right I forgot that razorbacks have no fire points, my mistake! :(

This looks pretty good here is a list of the changes I would make:

Rune Priest - No Changes (Maybe Chooser of the Slain, will have to calculate points after changes are made)

Lone Wolf - Great unit, but unfortunately this guy doesn't have much of a use to you in a non footslogging list. I would drop him
Dreadnaught - Again great unit, especially with all the DE armies popping up. This guy would be better utilized with 2x TL Autocannons. Simply put these guys shred DE transports, and they have a pretty good chance of glancing rhinos as well.

Grey Hunter units - Keep the 5 man squad as is (add a WG)! The 10 man squads need to be brought down to 7-8 guys. The reason is you will get ground up and spit out by some armies in close combat so you want your units to die faster so you can shoot at the enemy units sooner. While on this train of thought I want to mention that Wolf Standards should be taken any time you expect CC encounters. SW simply have no better option and at 10 points it is ridiculously under priced. As far as making up for that extra meltagun grab a squad of 3 WG with PF and combi meltas. This will give your squads a way to finish off tough to kill models and give them that second melta shot when you are in need.

TW Cav - These guys should beat some face in with this list, drop the plasma pistol though it is garbage. Pick up at least one Storm Shield (Probably 2) as these guys are going to be public enemy #1 against any experienced player and you will need to be able to soak up some heavy weapons fire.

Long Fangs - Can't go wrong with ML Fangs

Vindicator - Long fangs are a much better choice as you need as much range as you can get. Drop this guy for another squad of Fangs or for a TL Las Razorback on a Fang squad.

This is my personal take on your list, this should free up some extra points. Use them to get more long range fire power. If you can do that you will tear apart most units at a range and then your Grey Hunters can mop up their remains with ease at mid table.

I will add the wolf guard, good input there...I think I might add a wolf scout squad for the vindi or dreadnaught, and I wanna try to fit a thunderlord somewhere too. Thanks for the tips.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
changed my list around a bit...took out the vindicator and the lone wolf, modified the troops a little...and I think it looks great. gonna try a few games with this.

-HQ- (310)
Thunderwolf Lord - Wolf Claw, Storm Shield, Melta Bombs

Rune Priest - JotWW, LL, CotS (should I drop this for a heavy flamer on dread or maybe 2 melta bombs on the TWC?)

-Elite- (234)
Wolf Guard x3 - PF x3, C-MG x3

Dreadnought - No upgrades

-Troop- (465)
Grey Hunters x7 - MG, WS, Rhino

Grey Hunters x5 - MG, Razorback w/ Lasplas

Grey Hunters x5 - MG, Razorback w/ Lasplas

-Fast- (210)
Thunderwolves x3 - TH, SS

-Heavy- (280)
Long Fangs x6 - ML x5

Long Fangs x6 - ML x5

Lord w/ the TWC, I try to keep them in cover/out of LoS until I blow up a transport and can assault something, Rune Priest and dreadnought can stay near the long fangs/objective or go forward and be assaulty if necessary. the rest is pretty simple.

I think it should do well as it is in the 2nd.
I would not loose the chooser, it will pay off with the living lightening.
I suggest using the rune priest in a less reactionary role, I have been using mine with the same load out and leaving him with the long fangs, does ok but never gets to use Jotww.
If you are going to make the most of him stick him with the large squad, try not to let him into combat, that's for your Thunderwolves. He and his squad can make for objectives and hold them, offering a decent amount of firepower off and being decent enough in combat. On his own he is awful in combat, even with a dread backing him up he is dead.

The dread needs to either run forward with the razorbacks or sit back and shoot, if you are going to be driving him forward then a standard loadout with powerfist, heavy flamer and either plasma or assault cannon would work well.
If he is sitting back and shooting I would try to work in the rifelman loadout of dual twin autocannons, 4 shots that can tear up light armour or mess up monsterous creatures.
Other then that it's a good list.

It's not the size of the blade, it's how you use it.
