Hi everyone,

Right now i am staring at an ork boy, I simply connot think of a colour to use on his uniform. I kind of want a creamy yellow colour but dont know what to use.
Could anyone please tell me suggestions. All are welcome.

Note: I use the GW paints so could you please tell me the GW equivilant of what paint you say.

Thank you!

Ork? Uniform? Contradiction!

In all seriousness think this is a brilliant way of doing yellow of all types.

Basecoat Iyandarn Darksun foundation, poke a heavy layer of Gryphon Sepia into the recesses and then highlight with sunburst yellow.

In truth I have not any boy pics to hand but I have a tank and some kans using similar techniques.

Some people might want to blend the line that the wash created with Darksun again but I don't bother.

If it's pale and creamy you want, pure Sunburst might be a tad too yellow. If that ends up being the case, I'd keep it in the mix, but use Iyanden Darksun/Bleached Bone (to darken/lighten, respectively, as needed) to drop the intensity to where you want it.

The Dreadnote wrote:But the Emperor already has a shrine, in the form of your local Games Workshop. You honour him by sacrificing your money to the plastic effigies of his warriors. In time, your devotion will be rewarded with the gift of having even more effigies to worship.

Agreed on the Iyanden Darksun basecoat, Sunburst Yellow topcoat combo. Now if that's too bright, maybe try layering some watered down Bleached Bone over top to lighten it.

Another bit of advice is to post a picture of the "creamy yellow" colour you're trying to achieve and then we can help find GW paints and techniques to replicate that colour.
