I hope that the Tau get a bio- mechanical ally in their next codex.

Did you scratchbuild that Tripod yourself?

It looks a bit too organic for Tau, honestly almost looks Tyranid.

I like how organic it looks, very war of the worlds feel. good job. I do think tho to fit in with the tau it would be better to stick with a mechanical look. Don't let that last bit take anything away from a cool model.

I generally hate know-it-alls who rip into people for not being aware of fairly mainstream things... but I think it'd be constructive to throw in this link for those (and I am surprised that there are any) people who haven't played Half-Life 2:

True.

Its a cool model. But I think it looks TOO organic for a Tau army. At least one done with the GW models. Maybe a tau army based off of just purely forgeworld stuff it would look awesome. So yeah with GW models it doesn't fit for tau, FW model army it would looks Fing sweet with them.

Hey, comrade
I obviously was laughing with you, and not at anybody
I was surprised how many people did not recognize aboriginal idea, but Warhammer is much older and more traditional hobby than HL2

Very nice model and well painted. Though I have to wonder why you chose to describe it as a Tau model, and not as a Strider.

I could honestly see a HL game being made, and those models are fantastic. I've played HL2 more times than I care to count, and these look spot on.

I think you Tau army needs an experimental Dropship of some kind. It could be an stand in for Devilfish.

Haha yea know what you mean, but to be honest I think that makes it more believable as a tau unit, as I'm sure others know the durability of the feet of normal tau crisis suits.

My first reaction was "Uh, that's Half-Life 2" I don't think anything about that model is Tau. But a spitting image of Half-Life 2.
