Before moved to PA i lived in the Bronx and could never find a place to even watch a game. most people i knew who played would venture into Brooklyn and Manhattan. Many of them went to this place called Dragon's Den in Poughkeepsie.

I used to live in the Bronx. I Never found a game or another player around, though I didn't look very hard since my 'usual' gaming group is a close knit group in my childhood hometown, upstate.

There's a Games Workshop in Manhattan, ~8th and Broadway, that's usually got a few people playing, painting, or watching. It's a good place, if a bit tight. Its only a block or two from the Astor Place stop on the 6 train. The other GW stores in the city (UES, UWS, and Queens) are all unfortunately closed up.

Compleat Strategist, ~33rd and 6th, has a 40k night, I believe, but I've never played there.

There's also apparently a fairly sizable club in Westchester, out of White Plains, but I never tracked them down.

Dragon's Den is a pretty cool place, but Poughkeepsie is pretty far to travel for a game. Still, if you ever find yourself up there, it's worth checking out.
